• Provide technical and clerical support related to assigned focus areas in healthcare services
• Verify member eligibility and determine primary insurers as well as network and non-network providers
• Communicate with members, providers, and business associates to complete requests in compliance with regulations
• Process authorization requests and maintain accurate documentation according to department standards
• Participate in cross-departmental work groups and contribute to process improvements

• Minimum of 1 year of experience providing technical, clerical, or administrative support
• Knowledge of the Oregon Health Plan (OHP) and Medicare A & B benefit packages
• Strong computer application skills in MS Office, including Word and Outlook
• Ability to meet production and quality standards consistently
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written

• Experience working with electronic medical records
• Familiarity with processing Medicare, Medicaid, or commercial plan authorization requests
• Knowledge of coding and medical terminology
• Previous experience in customer service roles providing technical support
• Ability to work autonomously with moderate supervision
