Overview
Maximus is seeking a Clinical IDD Assessor to join our team. This hybrid remote position requires 75% travel and a commitment to delivering high‑quality Institute for Self‑Determination (SIS‑A) assessments for adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities.
Location & Work Requirements- Hybrid remote; 75% travel on program contracts.
- Candidate must live in or near Skowhegan, Augusta, or other Central Maine communities within Somerset and Kennebec Counties.
- Required home office: company‑issued computer and cell phone, reliable high‑speed internet (minimum 20 Mbps download, 5 Mbps upload).
- Conduct field IDD/SIS assessments, ensuring compliance with Person First standards, HIPAA, and company confidentiality policies.
- Seamlessly perform on‑site, video call, or telephonic assessments to determine individual needs, eligibility, and level of care.
- Attend monthly assessor calls and support program activities.
- Travel for program contract requirements as needed.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
- High School degree or equivalent required;
Bachelor’s in Human Services or related field preferred. - Minimum 1 year of clinical experience with individuals with intellectual/developmental disabilities or autism.
- Experience conducting field assessments and obtaining SIS‑A certification.
- Preferred: QIDP‑Qualified Intellectual Disability Professional or similar credentials; ISP‑Individual Support Plan experience is a plus.
- Knowledge of community support programs, long‑term care assessment, and behavioral health diagnoses.
- Strong data collection, problem definition, and conclusion drawing skills.
