REMOTE OPPORTUNITY! St. Louis Behavioral Medicine Institute (SLBMI) is seeking Licensed Psychologists with expertise and a passion for treating patients who identify as transgender, non-binary, gender queer, or any non-binary identity. ResponsibilitiesREMOTE OPPORTUNITY! SLBMI is seeking Licensed Psychologists with expertise in treating gender-diverse populations. Local candidates in MO are preferred but not required. We are open to eligible candidates located outside the St. Louis region who may be interested in telehealth services. Eligible candidates must be professionally licensed in Missouri, or eligible to treat patients through telehealth via PSYPACT credentialing.
Our clinicians:
- provide gender-affirming psychosocial interventions and assess/write letters in support for hormones and gender-confirming surgeries
- work within traditional outpatient therapy (individual, group, and family therapy) and may develop therapy groups tailored to their interests and training
- treat patients for traditional mental health conditions and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team
We offer opportunities for tailoring caseloads to your expertise and competencies. Our team of 70+ colleagues provides case consultation, continuing education, and program development. Our environment emphasizes collaboration and compassionate behavioral healthcare.
Shift: Monday–Friday, dayshift. Onsite and remote work options available.
About the Gender-Affirming Program- The program is based within traditional outpatient therapy, including individual therapy, group therapy, and family therapy. Clinicians work primarily with individual outpatients.
- We aim to expand group services, community outreach, and couples therapy options. We support clinicians in developing therapy groups aligned with their interests and training.
- You would treat patients with traditional mental health conditions, provide gender-affirming psychosocial interventions, and complete assessments/writing letters for hormones and gender-confirming surgeries.
- Experience with lesbian, gay, bisexual/pansexual, queer, asexual, and other minority sexual orientations is desired.
- Specialist-in-Training option available for those who lack prior experience but wish to specialize in this population.
- Additional subspecialty interests and training are encouraged.
- Caseload can be tailored to your expertise and competencies.
