Medical Assistant Front Office
We are seeking a dedicated Medical Assistant Front Office professional to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will utilize Mod Med as the EMR for patient records, ensuring a seamless experience for both patients and healthcare providers. Your primary responsibilities will include welcoming patients, managing front desk operations, and maintaining accurate patient records.
Responsibilities- Welcome patients as they arrive, ensuring they feel comfortable and informed.
- Handle incoming calls, direct them to the appropriate personnel, and address patient inquiries.
- Verify patient insurance coverage.
- Assist patients with check-in and check-out procedures, ensuring all necessary forms are completed.
- Maintain and update patient records, ensuring confidentiality and accuracy.
- Process insurance claims, create invoices, and manage patient billing.
- Update and maintain accurate patient medical histories and records.
- Provide patients with information on treatments, medications, and post-procedure care.
- Order and manage medical supplies and equipment.
- Work with healthcare providers to ensure smooth patient flow and efficient office operations.
- Experience with EMR, specifically Mod Med as of August 2025.
- Medical assisting and medical reception skills.
- Patient care expertise.
- Previous experience as a medical receptionist or in a front office role.
Skills & Qualifications
- Orthopedic experience is strongly preferred.
- Good interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to organize workload and prioritize tasks.
This role involves working standard office hours with an 8-hour shift between those times. No weekends or evenings are required. The department consists of 8 people and handles approximately 70-100 calls from patients per day. Once converted, you would benefit from 2 work-from-home days. The work environment is supportive, with providers eager to teach and a friendly atmosphere. The organization has a large network with 7 offices across New Jersey while maintaining a small group feel.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Sparta, NJ.
Pay And BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $19.00 - $21.00/hr.
