Description
We are seeking Service Coordinators to work with the families we serve across Indianapolis and surrounding counties. This position is flexible with time in the office, working from home and in the community meeting families and team members. If you have experience with individuals with developmental or intellectual disabilities, you are self motivated and organized, you have a passion for helping others, you work well with technology and communicating with a team we would love to talk with you.
Service Coordinators are the direct contact for the families we serve to ensure they have coordination between all services and providers. Service coordinators provide updates to families regarding service availability, hours/units used, provider questions, and general resources for a variety of tips and tricks to make their journey through the disability world easier. Service coordinators attend quarterly meetings with families, provide monthly check in and updates to families as well as team meetings with the Embracing Abilities team to ensure all services are being delivered efficiently and to the satisfaction of the family.

Travel

This position does require travel to family homes for meetings as well as the community. Mileage is reimbursed for approved travel.
You must reside in the state of Indiana for this position.
Requirements- Preferred Bachelor's Degree in related field (Human Services Field)
- Strong verbal and written communication.
- Proficient with Google applications (calendar, docs, sheets, etc).
- Working independently managing your own caseload.
- Experience or training in the field of intellectual/developmental disabilities is preferred but not required.
- Solid understanding of the disability field and working with individuals with intellectual disabilities
- Ability to work as a team member within a residential, clinical or community setting.
- Ability to drive with a valid driver’s license and insurance with $50,000/$100,000 minimum coverage with reliable transportation
- Pre-employment requirements (TB test, background check, driving record, valid driver’s license and car insurance, First Aid/CPR
