Responsibilities

The Scheduling Analyst is a key role within the Harmony Cares Medical Group. The Scheduling Analyst works with market leaders and Lead Scheduler to develop strategy and action plans to optimize patient engagement. Evaluates and implements scheduling policies and protocols to ensure effective and efficient workflows. The scheduling analyst collaborates with medical assistants, patient care coordinators, providers, patients, and other supportive functions within the Harmony Cares Medical Group to prioritize patient visits, adhere to provider contact hours, and overall management of census.

Duties And Responsibilities
  • Develop and maintain provider schedules to meet patient needs.
  • Manage provider census through proactive census risk management.
  • Manage market census to ensure the right patients are seen at the right time based on Harmony Cares risk tiering and inactivation process.
  • Collaborate with local leadership to maximize scheduling system and ensure patient requests are communicated.
  • Maintain relationships and effectively communicate Harmony Cares services with patients and family members.
  • Place and receive phone calls to facilitate effective scheduling function.
  • Escalate scheduling concerns, and issues, both internally and externally.
  • Adhere to patient confidentiality policies and procedures.
  • Attend required meetings and in-services.
  • Collaborate with manager, teammates, and other Harmony Cares employees.
  • Perform other duties as required.
Qualifications

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

  • 2+ years college, and/or equivalent experience
  • 2 years of healthcare or customer service experience required
  • Strong analytical and critical thinking skills
  • Moves quickly to solve complex, real-time issues
  • Possesses excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to think logically and process sequentially with a high level of detailed accuracy and efficiency.
  • Intermediate computer skill set level with a strong foundation and working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
Preferred Knowledge, Skills And Experience
  • Scheduling or logistics experience preferred
  • Strong working knowledge of medical terminology, conditions, illnesses and treatment practices.
