This role is for 16 hours per week worked across weekdays. Redburn Clinic, located on the Belfast Road in Ballynahinch, caters for up to 20 residents requiring frail elderly care. As an Activity Therapist, you will plan and deliver meaningful activities and therapies tailored to individual needs. You will develop a varied program that considers residents’ interests, mobility, cognitive abilities as well as input from colleagues and families.
You will design and facilitate group and one-to-one activities that promote well-being and engagement, keep records of resident participation, seek feedback to refine activities and provide a structured calendar of events to enhance daily experiences. Building strong relationships with residents, families and colleagues will be at the heart of your work, ensuring an inclusive and person-centred approach. You will encourage social interaction, creativity and physical activity, and support holistic well-being in a compassionate and engaging way.

- NISCC registration (or able to obtain within 6 months)
- Due to the nature of the role, candidates must be aged 18 or over upon commencement of the role.
- Eligibility to live and work in the UK (this role does not meet Home Office requirements for sponsorship)
- Medical fitness to carry out physical requirements of the role.

Interviews may take place via video call. This role involves substantial access to vulnerable adults. The successful candidate will be offered the position subject to a satisfactory Enhanced Disclosure Check through Access NI. Regulated posts will also require a check of the adult barred list.
