Job SummaryAssists patients with activities of daily living, provides basic care under the supervision of a Registered Nurse or Licensed Practical Nurse. Maintains a safe, clean environment and communicates patient needs to the RN.
ResponsibilitiesProvides basic nursing care to non‑acutely ill patients within the Nursing Assistant’s scope of practice, including meeting psychosocial and physical needs.
Assists in admission, transfer and discharge of patients.
Assists with feeding patients, maintaining fluid balance, and providing patient and family education prior to care.
Communicates patient status changes to the RN and collaborates with interdisciplinary team members.
Performs other duties as assigned within scope of practice, ensuring confidentiality and professionalism at all times.
QualificationsEducation / Licensure
High School Graduate or Equivalent; completion of CNA class desired;
Current BLS Healthcare certification required.

Physical Requirements
Good physical and mental health, stamina, ability to lift moderate to heavy objects, tolerate prolonged walking/standing. Exposure to blood, bodily fluids, hazardous materials, and airborne disease.
Must maintain privacy, meet dress code, and complete required education and in‑service training.
Professional ExpectationsWears identification, uses punch‑time system, attends annual reviews and staff meetings, engages in continuous quality improvement, and represents the organization positively.
