Hourly Pay Range: $19.89 – $28.84. The hourly pay rate offered is determined by a candidate's expertise and years of experience, among other factors.

- Position: Inbound Call Center Representative/Patient Access Representative I
- Location: Skokie, IL
- Onsite for the first 6 to 9 months. Option for remote work after 6 to 9 months upon completion of a successful training period.
- Full time: Monday-Friday: 7:45 AM – 5:45 PM
- Half day Saturday: 9:00 AM – 1:15 PM
- Handle patient requests over the phone for multiple medical offices and hospital departments while applying correct workflows and protocols.
- Simultaneously collect information from patients and enter data into our electronic health record system (EPIC).
- Schedule appointments, procedures, and events at our North Shore locations.
- Register and verify insurance eligibility, informing patients of their financial responsibility.
- Promote key initiatives for the Patient Access Center and North Shore (e.g., online services).
- Adhere to privacy (HIPAA) guidelines when speaking with patients and families.
- Route calls to the correct administrative and clinical departments after assessing patients’ needs.
- Support departmental changes, demonstrating flexibility and a positive attitude in a fast‑paced, changing environment.
- Education:
- High School Diploma or equivalent (required)
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s Degree (preferred)
- Experience:
- One year of customer service experience (required)
- Inbound call center experience (required)
- Healthcare experience (preferred)
- Prior scheduling experience (preferred)
- Skills:
- Basic computer skills, proficiency in Microsoft Windows, Excel, and Outlook, and ability to type 25 words per minute.
- Exhibits essential customer‑service focus, active listening, issue resolution, sharp attention to detail, and analytical/problem‑solving abilities.
- Demonstrates importance of attendance and maintaining a positive work environment, arriving on time and with minimal absenteeism.
