The Nursing Home Surveyor (Nurse Consultant I) is a regulatory role that determines nursing home compliance with federal and state requirements through inspections.
Job Responsibilities- Apply laws, regulations, rules, and protocols established by state or federal government.
- Make decisions independently or with interdisciplinary team members.
- Complete survey reports.
- Pass the Federal Surveyor Minimum Qualifications Test (SMQT) within two years of hire.
This home‑based position services the Alexander, Allegheny;
Ashe;
Avery;
Caldwell;
Catawba;
Davie;
Iredell;
Surry;
Watauga; and Wilkes county region. Surveyors spend an average of three days per week conducting inspections and may be required to work weekends, nights, or overnight stays when the nursing home is more than 60 miles from their home base.
Licensed to practice as a Registered Nurse in North Carolina and have at least one year of experience in the area of specialization.
Salary and BenefitsSalary Range: $59,732 – $98,557. Recruitment Range: $59,732 – $80,000.

Minimum Education and ExperienceLicensed as a Registered Nurse in North Carolina with one year of specialized experience.
