- Build and maintain strong working relationships with clinicians, administrators, and revenue cycle colleagues
- Educate physicians and group practices on outpatient clinical documentation improvement (CDI) programs
- Track, monitor, and report on case reviews and document results achieved
- Prioritize and organize time and materials to address physician documentation and education needs
- Act as a subject matter expert on proper provider documentation and its impact on accurate coding of outpatient services
- Minimum of an Associate degree in a healthcare-related program along with 3 years of experience in healthcare, nursing, business, or finance
- Applicable CDIS or HIM (coding) credentialing through ACDIS, AHIMA, and/or AAPC
- OR an LPN or RN licensure with 3 years of ICD-10 and/or CPT/HCPCS coding experience
- Certified Clinical Documentation Specialist - Outpatient (CCDS-O) required within 3 years
- Understanding of physician documentation requirements in a clinical, outpatient, or inpatient setting
- 3 years of experience with ICD-10-CM and/or CPT/HCPCS coding knowledge
- Familiarity with electronic health records and their navigation
- Knowledge of CMs-1500 and UB-04 claim reporting requirements
