Overview

We are looking for an experienced Live‑In Care Professional to support a charming female long‑standing client in the beautiful village of Creigiau near Cardiff. You will live in the client’s home during your placement and provide a variety of non‑medical services to help them stay independent.

Responsibilities

In your placement you will:

  • Provide active support for 10 hours a day between 09:00 and 21:30, with a 2‑hour break between 14:00 and 16:00.
  • Drive the client to local appointments and shops (driving essential; the location is rural and not accessible by public transport).
  • Assist with personal care, medication reminders, household chores, and companionship.
  • Participate in weekly training sessions (starting 26th January; first placement 3rd February).
  • Maintain a clean and safe living environment for the client, staying in the annexe (bedroom, small living area and en‑suite shower).
  • Follow the 1‑week on/1‑week off schedule, with handover 11:30/12:00 on Tuesdays.
Qualifications
  • Driver with own car (with business insurance) essential.
  • Excellent spoken and written English.
  • Experience as a Live‑in Care Assistant and working with people living with dementia.
  • Reliable, trustworthy, respectful, and able to build professional friendships.
  • Flexible in terms of placement length.
Additional Information

You will receive food for three meals a day or an equivalent food allowance, a separate room to stay in, access to a TV, and a travel allowance of £25 per week for each completed placement. Training and support begin the week starting 26th January, with the first placement on 3rd February.
