** Job Summary
** The EMS Coordinator is responsible for coordinating the activity between Cooley Dickinson Hospital and EMS agencies and functions as a liaison between Cooley Dickinson Hospital, EMS agencies, and pre-hospital care providers.
This position reports to the Medical Director, Emergency Services and the Nurse Director, Emergency Department and operates within established organizational and departmental policies and procedures.
If filled by a Registered Nurse, this position is part of the Massachusetts Nurses Association Bargaining Unit at Cooley Dickinson Hospital.
** Qualifications
* *** Licenses and Credentials
*** Registered Nurse [RN - Massachusetts] - required
- ** OR**
- * Massachusetts EMT-P certificate required
* Basic Life Support certification required
** Experience
* ** 3-5 years of current experience as a Massachusetts certified EMT-P with at least six months of administrative and quality assurance experience with EMS
* 3-5 years required and Supervisory experience as a paramedic or EMS Security
* National EMT certification preferred
** Knowledge,
