- Analyze complex data integrity tickets and execute appropriate chart correction processes
- Collaborate with clinical providers and department end users to resolve documentation errors
- Maintain tracking information through to resolution while completing tasks in expected turnaround times
- Identify trends and issues, presenting findings to management for discussion
- Participate in testing of new functionality related to electronic medical record (EMR) documentation
- Associate's degree in Health Information or Medical Record Technology required;
Bachelor's degree preferred - Minimum of four years' experience in a multi-facility Health Information Management (HIM) or similar healthcare setting
- Previous experience with Sanford One Chart or Epic required
- Registered Health Information Technician (RHIT) required;
Registered Health Information Administrator (RHIA) preferred - Strong knowledge of healthcare terminology and revenue cycle business processes
- Minimum of three years working with coding, chart analysis, or release of information
- Experience with hybrid medical records is extremely important
- Familiarity with PC systems, including MS Office applications
