Remote Inpatient Coder.

2/16/2026. Pay Rate: $32.00 - $40.00. Position:
Part Time inpatient coder.

Position duties include coding of medical information into the Meditech Coding Abstract system and monitoring completion of daily coding assignments through established HIM best practice processes and professional and regulatory coding guidelines. Assign ICD CM/PCS codes to inpatient accounts and ICD CM/CPT codes to outpatient accounts, as directed for respective encounters. Reviews and follow-up (if needed) on associated facility charges, technical fees, and level of service for assigned outpatient encounters.

Adheres to a 95% coding accuracy rating.

• Must have organizational and statistical reporting skills.
• Must maintain professionalism and confidentiality of patient health information data.
• Ability to communicate timely and effectively.
• Analytical skills/detail oriented.
• Ability to work independently and in a remote setting.
• Graduation from an accredited medical coding program.
• Must pass the initial coding assessment provided by HIM Dept.
• RHIA, RHIT, or CCS credentials preferred.

PRN, (May not need this individual weekly, but having someone to jump on a couple of days or so around the holidays and when someone is out for an extended vacation would be extremely helpful.)
