Job Summary
ELFT Digital Therapy (EDT) is seeking a remote‑working psychological Wellbeing Practitioner to support online triage/assessment. This remote IAPT service is part of the NHS East London NHS Foundation Trust and offers a flexible working pattern between 8am‑8pm Mon‑Thurs and 9am‑5pm Friday.
Main dutiesThe role involves completing automated online triage assessments and telephone triages, delivering psycho‑educational and low‑intensity therapeutic interventions via video, telephone and typed text, following NICE guidance. The practitioner will work with service users from diverse cultural backgrounds, use interpreters where necessary, and maintain clear, concise records as per the stepped‑care model.

- Complete automated online triage assessments and telephone triages.
- Deliver psycho‑educational and low‑intensity therapeutic interventions via video, telephone, and typed text.
- Work with clients from diverse cultural backgrounds and ages, using interpreters when necessary.
- Maintain accurate, concise records of interventions.
- Participate in regular online team meetings, huddles and supervision sessions.
- Education: Post‑graduate qualification in Primary Care Mental Health work, or IAPT PWP Training or equivalent.
- Desirable: BABCP Accreditation as a PWP.
- Experience: Experience working with clients with anxiety and depression; liaising with other agencies; carrying out assessments, intervention planning and risk assessment within service protocols; hands‑on clinical experience delivering low‑intensity cognitive and behavioural interventions.
- Skills: Ability to carry out assessments and elicit information about a wide range of difficulties; proficiency with computers for data entry, information seeking, and communication; ability to deliver low‑intensity interventions and keep clear records; familiarity with the stepped‑care model.
- Knowledge: Evidence‑based low‑intensity cognitive and behavioural interventions; knowledge of anxiety and depression and common medications; understanding of the stepped‑care model and IAPT agenda.
- This post requires a Disclosure and Barring Service check under the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act (Exceptions Order) 1975.
