Disability Management & Wellbeing Advisor in Houston, TX

$44/hr. – $47/hr.

Contract

Hybrid schedule (in office Monday, Tuesday, & Thursday, work from home on Wednesday & Friday)

Limited travel

We’re looking for a Disability Management & Wellbeing Advisor to support the ongoing delivery, development, and enhancement of a comprehensive Health Services program. Reporting to the Lead, Disability Management, this role plays a key part in implementing approved health initiatives, supporting employee wellbeing, and ensuring compliance with Occupational Health & Safety and applicable legislation.

Return to Work

• Serve as a subject matter expert on return-to-work determinations and medical assessments
• Support program development and continuous improvement of return-to-work practices
• Collaborate closely with internal teams and external medical management partners

Disability Management

• Provide expertise in occupational and non-occupational illness and injury management
• Manage return-to-work referrals through effective case management
• Deliver customized health promotions and education initiatives
• Support strategies to identify and reduce health risks
• Develop employee communications to drive awareness and participation in wellbeing programs

• Act as a liaison with internal and external stakeholders
• Support innovative approaches to attendance management and continuous improvement
• Partner with management to ensure compliance with Health & Safety and HR policies
• Keep Health Services programs current with evolving regulations and best practices
• Contribute to KPIs, metrics, and program reporting
• Support occupational health services during emergency response situations as needed
