Disability Management & Wellbeing Advisor in Houston, TX
$44/hr. – $47/hr.
Contract
Hybrid schedule (in office Monday, Tuesday, & Thursday, work from home on Wednesday & Friday)
Limited travel
We’re looking for a Disability Management & Wellbeing Advisor to support the ongoing delivery, development, and enhancement of a comprehensive Health Services program. Reporting to the Lead, Disability Management, this role plays a key part in implementing approved health initiatives, supporting employee wellbeing, and ensuring compliance with Occupational Health & Safety and applicable legislation.
This is a great opportunity for a health and wellbeing professional with strong Disability Management and Return-to-Work expertise who is collaborative, results-oriented, and motivated to make a meaningful impact in creating safe, supportive, and healthy work environments.
What You’ll Be DoingReturn to Work
- Serve as a subject matter expert on return-to-work determinations and medical assessments
- Support program development and continuous improvement of return-to-work practices
- Collaborate closely with internal teams and external medical management partners
Disability Management
- Provide expertise in occupational and non-occupational illness and injury management
- Manage return-to-work referrals through effective case management
- Deliver customized health promotions and education initiatives
- Support strategies to identify and reduce health risks
- Develop employee communications to drive awareness and participation in wellbeing programs
- Act as a liaison with internal and external stakeholders
- Support innovative approaches to attendance management and continuous improvement
- Partner with management to ensure compliance with Health & Safety and HR policies
- Keep Health Services programs current with evolving regulations and best practices
- Contribute to KPIs, metrics, and program reporting
- Support occupational health services during emergency response situations as needed
