The primary responsibility of the Senior Producer Contract Specialist is the onboarding of new producers and the ongoing update and maintenance of producer contract records. This role works closely with producers in the health insurance markets we serve and with a variety of internal teams including sales, account management, finance, and compliance. Accuracy, timeliness, and excellent written and verbal communication skills are critical.
EssentialFunctions And
Job Responsibilities
- Effectively communicate with existing and prospective producers regarding contract and appointment related matters.
- Oversee and ensure timely processing of producer contracts and appointments, including terminations and transitions.
- Collaborate with compliance and legal teams to ensure adherence to licensing and appointment regulations.
- Serve as the initial point of contact for complex producer contracting and appointment matters, including escalations, mergers, acquisitions, and legal inquiries.
- Conduct internal audits of producer contract records.
- Ensure readiness for and participate in external audits, as requested.
- Mentor and train Producer Contract Specialists.
- Lead the development and implementation of best practices for producer onboarding and contract lifecycle management such as:
- Initiating cross-functional collaboration as needed to improve internal processes
- Identify and initiate efforts to improve producer reporting and analytics
- Enhance and ensure producer data integrity across systems
- Lead the implementation of key software improvements and/or implementation of new software solutions, as directed
- Represent the department in strategic meetings and on special projects, as assigned.
- Bachelor's degree required.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in contracting, preferably in insurance, managed care, or healthcare.
- Experience in contract analysis and implementation.
- Strong understanding of insurance licensing procedures and regulatory compliance.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office, contract management software, and CRM required.
- Proven leadership, mentoring, and project management skills.
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills with the ability to influence and collaborate across departments.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with a strategic mindset.
- High level of confidentiality, professionalism, and ethical standards.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and lead initiatives independently.

This position currently functions as a hybrid role working from both home and in-office environments. Any home office setting must be conducive to all guidelines outlined by the organization. This role is required to regularly attend in-person meetings, the frequency of which is determined by management based on departmental or organizational needs.
