About the Role

We are seeking an experienced and supportive Occupational Therapy Assistant Supervisor to provide remote clinical supervision, mentorship, and oversight to (3) three established full-time Occupational Therapy Assistants delivering high-quality services to children and families in home and community-based settings. The OTA Supervisor is fully remote and available by phone or virtual meeting to support OTAs and clients. This role is ideal for an Occupational Therapist who values collaboration, flexibility, and evidence-based practice, and who enjoys guiding and empowering OTAs in their professional growth.

Compensation
  • Contractor role, 1099
  • $150.00 for each initial evaluation or re-evaluation completed
  • $50.00 per billable hour for caregiver education sessions and/or direct treatment services.
  • $500.00 per month for each full-time COTA supervised
Anticipated Time Commitment

PLEASE NOTE:

You must have at least 16 hours per week available for this role, which can be split across Monday-Friday as needed. Hours may fluctuate based on deadlines for re-evaluations and other client services.

Current supervision need includes three (3) full-time COTAs with 23 - 26 clients each. Total time commitment estimated at 12 hours per week total plus remote initial evaluations a few times per month.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide remote clinical supervision to Occupational Therapy Assistants in accordance with Oregon state licensure and professional standards
  • Perform remote evaluations and re-evaluations
  • Hold virtual caregiver education sessions with caregivers at least every 6 months
  • Develop, update, and revise treatment plans with input from OTAs
  • Review and co-sign documentation and discharge summaries as required
  • Offer clinical guidance, mentorship, and professional development support to OTAs
  • Ensure services align with ethical guidelines, best practices, and organizational policies
  • Participate in virtual supervision meetings, case consultations, and performance feedback sessions
  • Support compliance with state and federal regulations, payer requirements, and quality assurance standards
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members as needed
  • Assist with onboarding and ongoing training of OTAs
Qualifications
  • Licensed Occupational Therapist (OTR/L) in Oregon with good standing
  • Meets state requirements to supervise Occupational Therapy Assistants
  • Minimum of 2–3 years of clinical experience in pediatrics
  • Prior supervision or mentorship experience strongly preferred
  • Comfortable with tele-supervision platforms
    , electronic documentation systems, and virtual communication
  • Strong communication, organization, and leadership skills
  • Ability to work independently while remaining responsive and supportive
  • Understanding of and commitment to neurodiversity-affirming and trauma-informed care
  • Access to appropriate technology (laptop, internet connection, phone, etc)
Must have the following clinical skills
  • Pediatric, school-based, or early intervention experience
  • Experience supervising remote or hybrid teams
  • Expertise in caregiver coaching
  • Expertise with sensory feeding approaches
