Position: Lead Nuclear Medicine Technologist (Flint Hills) - Nuclear Med - FT - Day
Position Status:

Full time

Shift: First Shift (Days - Less than 12 hours per shift) (United States of America)

* 2 years Nuclear Medicine experience. Required

Licenses and Certifications
* Radiography - ARRT Required
* Licensed Radiology Technologist (LRT) - KSBHA Required
* Certified Nuclear Medicine Technlongist - NMTCB Preferred
* Nuclear Medicine Technology - ARRT Preferred
* Drivers License - DMV Current Valid Driver’s License and Clean MVR with 3-year baseline and annual MVR review. Required
* Basic Life Support - BLS Required within 90 days.

What you will do
* Collaborate with Regional Imaging Manager or Regional Director to resolve issues and maintain work schedules to obtain optimum care and treatment.
* Participates in staffing decisions including hiring, onboarding, counseling and disciplinary actions.
* Calibrates and operates nuclear medicine equipment.
* Conducts diagnostic imaging studies as prescribed by Physician, using scanners or scintillation cameras to detect radiation emitted and to produce image of organ.
* Measures radioactivity, using Geiger counters, scalers, and scintillation detectors.
* Administers therapeutic doses of radiopharmaceuticals under direction of Physician. Follows radiation safety techniques in use and disposal of radioactive materials.
* Provides services in a prompt manner at times convenient for the customers. Understands and practices patient confidentiality.
* Provides a positive image to customers by creating a friendly atmosphere and placing a high priority on meeting customer needs in a courteous manner.
* Demonstrates proper use of equipment, time, and supplies in efforts to control costs.
* Demonstrates an openness to change through suggestions and constructive criticism.
* Willingly accepts various work assignments. Is accountable and responsible for own actions/decisions.
* Contributes to a team atmosphere by demonstrating excellent communication skills, taking initiative to perform needed tasks, and being flexible to go beyond normal expectations to meet the needs of others.
* Responds to needs and is knowledgeable of appropriate care for school-aged through gerontological patients.
* Demonstrates a commitment to continuing personal and/or professional development. Maintains CEU’s for certification. Seeks opportunities to improve knowledge base by attending departmental meetings, in services and other educational activities.
* Performs venipuncture for injections.
* Prepares stock solutions of radiopharmaceutical materials, calculates doses, and administers doses, under direction of Physician.
