• Process and submit primary and secondary insurance claims accurately and in a timely manner
• Review and resolve claim errors, rejections, and denials, ensuring compliance with payer guidelines
• Audit claims for accuracy, checking for duplicate charges and missing information before submission
• Maintain knowledge of billing regulations and payer policies, staying updated on federal and state requirements
• Communicate professionally with payers and internal teams to ensure efficient issue resolution

• High School Diploma or GED required
• 0-1 years of experience in medical billing, insurance claims processing, or revenue cycle operations required
• Basic understanding of insurance claim processing and medical billing guidelines
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and electronic health record (EHR) systems
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills

• Associate Degree in Business, Healthcare Administration, Medical Billing, or a related field preferred
• 1-3 years of billing experience in a medical facility or acute-care setting preferred
• Familiarity with billing software and electronic claims management systems
• Knowledge of CMS, Medicaid, Medicare, and commercial insurance billing regulations
