Overview
Unified Women’s Healthcare (UWH) Virtual Clinic offers nutrition and lifestyle care to women from reproduction to menopause. The Virtual Clinic specializes in menopause and sexual health, nutrition and lifestyle, and weight management for women. The clinic operates virtually and in-person with affiliated practices, providing care throughout a woman’s life and hormone journey. In collaboration with OB/GYN physicians and advanced practice practitioners (APPs), Registered Dietitian Nutritionists (RDNs) play an integral role in supporting women’s health across the lifespan, accounting for natural hormone changes and the impact on metabolic health and chronic disease risk. This role provides virtual nutrition and lifestyle services addressing concerns including weight (with or without weight loss medications), PCOS, fertility, pre-diabetes, and cardiometabolic health during peri- and post-menopause.
Responsibilities- Delivery of 1:1 digital health service with customized patient plans and supportive accountability based on a patient’s goals, medical intake, clinical assessment, and prior encounters with other medical providers and clinicians.
- Patient-related documentation and care coordination.
- Attend team meetings, CEU opportunities, and training sessions.
- Approximately 20 hours/week availability
- Potential to increase hours to 29 hours per week based on availability and market demand
- Potential for weekend and evening hours to meet patient needs
- Bachelor’s degree in a health-related field
- Current RDN credential
- Active state licensure in WA, NC, FL, TX, GA, or NY
- Minimum of two years of nutrition coaching/counseling experience
- Experience in motivational interviewing and behavior change
- Experience supporting female hormone transitions across the lifespan and addressing weight (with or without weight loss medications), PCOS, peri and post menopause, pre-diabetes, and cardiometabolic health
- Experience using technology in telehealth, including EMR (Athena ideal), Microsoft 365, and remote communication tools (Zoom, Slack, Teams, Google Meet)
- Ability to work independently and in a remote team with clinicians, dietitians, clinical operations, and technology experts
- Adaptability to a culture of learning and change to advance women’s health
- Excellent spoken and written communication skills
- Experience in dynamic, fast-paced environments
- Commitment 60-90 days prior to start for insurance credentialing
- Participation in two-week onboarding training
- Use HIPAA-compliant EMR to deliver care and document post-appointment topics, strategies, and educational resources
- Refer to other clinicians when warranted
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary health team
- Maintain RDN state license as required
- Maintain reliable internet and a private workspace
