This job requires strong experience in cancer biology and will require research in an interdisciplinary project to study the effect of small molecules in in vitro and in vivo models of acute leukemia and other cancers, and to pursue target validation studies using genetic approaches. The research will be focused on evaluation of the activity and the mechanism of action of novel small molecules blocking epigenetic proteins in leukemia, breast and lung cancers.
Required Qualifications *This position requires expertise in cell biology and molecular biology techniques, including testing activity of experimental drugs in leukemia cell cultures, PDX models, performing PCR, qRT-PCR, Western Blotting, co-Immunoprecipitation, flow cytometry. Prior work experience with animals is required (> 5 years working with animals), including strong experience in testing drug candidates in leukemia models, administering compounds using oral gavage and IP, collecting samples for subsequent analysis, performing flow cytometry analysis of animal samples.
Additional experience working with lung and breast cancer models is needed for this job.
Minimum of a bachelor's degree is required and at least five or more years of experience working in a research laboratory.
