Position: Deputy Operations / GP Practice Manager sub-Hamdon & Crewkerne
Deputy Operations / GP Practice Manager - Stoke-sub-Hamdon & Crewkerne

Symphony Healthcare Services has a fantastic opportunity for a Deputy Operations / Practice Manager to work across 2 GP practices in Somerset - Hamdon Medical Centre in Stoke-sub-Hamdon and Crewkerne Health Centre.

The role is a permanent, full time opportunity, working 37.5 hours per week Monday to Friday.

The rate of pay is £16.09 to £18.38 per hour and the starting salary will be offered based on previous experience.

Main duties of the job

You will support the Operations / Practice Manager of both sites to enable the practices to meet agreed aims and objectives within a profitable, efficient, safe and effective working environment.

You will also be responsible for the leadership for all operationalfunctions delivered by the administration staff and oversee the smooth and effective running of the Patient Services Advisors within the two practices.

In addition, youwill also be required to work closely with the medical and nursing teams, to ensure the safe and effective staffing of both sites.

You will be an integral part of the both teams and this will be an exciting and rewarding role to undertake.

Person Specification Experience
  • Previous management or supervisory experience
  • Experience of implementing / managing administrative services
  • Experience of inducting, training, appraisal and supporting staff
  • Experience of managing budgets
  • Supervisory / Management experience within general practice or other NHS roles
Knowledge and Skills
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to communicate effectively at all levels
  • Work well under pressure and meet deadlines

Qualifications
  • English and Maths GCSE (A*
    - C) or equivalent
  • Formal leadership or management training/qualification
