Overview
The post-holder will provide psychological clinical and professional leadership to the older adult community services across the GMMH community care group, including mental health and dementia services. This covers services in Manchester, Salford, Trafford, Wigan and Bolton. Services include memory assessment services, specialist older adult community mental health teams, some specialist older adult psychological therapies provision, and meeting older adult needs within age inclusive aspects of the community pathway (e.g. neighbourhood mental health teams).
Working closely with the adult community psychological professional leads and operational staff, the post holder will help continue to support the governance and development of a high-quality psychological service in the community and to ensure that current resources are used most effectively.
- Provide psychological clinical and professional leadership to older adult community services across the GMMH community care group, including mental health and dementia services.
- Oversee services in Manchester, Salford, Trafford, Wigan and Bolton, including memory assessment services, specialist older adult community mental health teams, and specialist older adult psychological therapies provision.
- Support the meeting of older adult needs within age inclusive aspects of the community pathway (e.g. neighbourhood mental health teams).
- Collaborate with adult community psychological professional leads and operational staff to governance and development of a high-quality psychological service in the community.
- Ensure current resources are used effectively to meet service aims.
