Up to $750/day | Independent, Visit-Based Role
Serving Scarborough, Pickering, Ajax, Whitby, Oshawa & Haliburton
The Care Company is hiring Registered Occupational Therapists (OTs) to provide community-based home care services across Scarborough, Durham Region (Pickering, Ajax, Whitby, Oshawa) and Haliburton. This is a flexible, visit-based role ideal for OTs seeking autonomy, fair compensation, and meaningful hospital-to-home work.
📍 Service AreasYou will be assigned clients within defined geographic zones, minimizing travel time:
- Scarborough
- Pickering
- Ajax
- Whitby
- Oshawa
- Bowmanville
- Haliburton
- Northumberland
- Port Perry
- Uxbridge
- Nestleton
- Peterborough
💰 Compensation & Pay Structure
Earn up to $750 per day, depending on visit mix and availability:
- $150 – Initial in-home OT assessment
- $100 – In-person follow-up visit
- $50 – Virtual follow-up
- Mileage compensation provided
- PPE supplied
👉 Most OTs see 4–6 clients per day within a single, localized area — no cross-city scrambling.
🕒 Schedule & Work Model- Flexible, visit-based scheduling
- In-home and virtual visits
- Independent practice with full admin and scheduling support
- No minimum or unrealistic caseload expectations
- No clinic shifts
- No cold calling or self-sourcing clients
- No unmanaged scheduling or last-minute chaos
- No productivity pressure that compromises care quality
Requirements
✅ RequirementsRequired
- Registered Occupational Therapist in good standing with COTO
- Experience in home care, community OT, or hospital discharge planning
- Strong functional and environmental assessment skills
- Reliable transportation
- Comfortable working independently in the community
Preferred (Not Required)
- ADP Authorizer status
- Experience with medically complex adults
- Hospital-to-home or community transition experience
