• Follow up with insurance companies to resolve unpaid claims through research and communication
• Review and resubmit unpaid and underpaid claims as necessary
• Document collection activities accurately in the billing system
• Respond to customer inquiries regarding account status and resolve discrepancies
• Ensure compliance with the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act (FDCPA)

• High school diploma is required
• Minimum of one year of related experience in collections or a similar role
• Basic computer skills in Word and Excel
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills
• Basic mathematical proficiency with the ability to interpret and develop spreadsheet data

• Experience in healthcare billing or collections
• Familiarity with insurance processes and terminology
• Additional certifications related to billing or collections
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
• Ability to work independently and manage time effectively
