Medical Billing Specialist ( Pharmaceutical experience)

Location: South Africa (Remote - US Hours)
Type: Full-Time, Work from Home
Hours: Monday to Friday: 9am- 5pm (US Hours)
Pay: Monthly USD Salary

Key Responsibilities

• Manage end-to-end medical billing processes, including claim preparation, submission, and follow-up.

• Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations, insurance policies, and pharmaceutical billing standards.

• Review and reconcile billing records, invoices, and patient accounts.

• Collaborate with healthcare providers, insurance companies, and internal teams to resolve billing discrepancies.

• Maintain accurate documentation and reporting for audits and compliance checks.

Requirements

• Proven experience in medical billing, with a strong background in pharmaceutical billing.

• Knowledge of healthcare coding systems (ICD, CPT, HCPCS) and insurance claim procedures.

• Familiarity with pharmaceutical reimbursement processes and regulatory requirements.

• Strong attention to detail, analytical skills, and ability to manage high-volume billing.

• Proficiency in billing software and MS Office Suite.

Preferred Qualifications

• Certification in Medical Billing and Coding or equivalent.

• Experience working within a healthcare or pharmaceutical solutions company.

• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
