Overnight Direct Support Professional (DSP) - Full-Time or Part-Time (11pm-9am) | Ocean County, NJ

Pay: A base of $20.20/hour and up to $24.20/hour with a shift differential & overtime availability

Schedule: Overnight Shift (Awake) (11pm-9am) — Full-Time or Part-Time, must remain alert throughout scheduled shift (Weekends Required)

Our Overnight Direct Support Professionals provide essential overnight supervision in our group homes, ensuring a secure environment and offering support whenever residents need assistance.

This is an ideal role for someone who is calm, responsible, and dedicated to providing consistent, high-quality care during the quietest hours of the day.

• Remain awake and alert during the entire shift
• Complete hourly phone checks through the automated time and attendance system
• Monitor and attend to residents' needs at any time during the night
• Support morning routines to ensure individuals are awake, groomed, and prepared for their day
• Maintain a home-like, safe, and secure environment, including performing assigned cleaning tasks
• Ensure the home and furnishings remain in good condition; report maintenance needs promptly
• Provide direct support with laundry, hygiene, grooming, cooking, cleaning, and other daily living skills
• Administer medications as required and follow all health, dietary, behavioral, and adaptive equipment plans
• Respond to emergencies and provide crisis intervention when necessary
• Complete all required documentation, including daily logs, communication notes, medical records, and tracking forms
• Know and follow each resident’s Individual Habilitation Plan, including implementing goals and documenting progress
• Protect residents’ rights, dignity, privacy, and personal choices

• High School Diploma or GED
• Valid NJ Driver’s License with no more than 5 points
• Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities preferred
• Comfortable working independently and handling emergency situations with sound judgment and ability to lift/move 50 lbs, assist individuals with mobility, and perform cleaning/household tasks
