Overview

Sentara Virginia Beach General Hospital is hiring a Licensed Behavioral Health Therapist
. This position will be part of the Psychiatric Emergency Response Team that completes assessments for emergency department patients with mental health needs.

Third (Nights)

Master’s Degree – Social Work, Counseling, or other related field

• Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) or Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW)

• At least 1 year of outpatient or inpatient experience desired

• Assesses the social, psychological, cultural, environmental, and financial situation, as well as disposition needs, for each assigned patient.
• Collaborates with patients, families, healthcare team members, and community agencies to develop and implement plans to address identified needs.
• Evaluates effectiveness of developed plans and initiates change as needed.

Located in Virginia Beach, VA, this 273-bed facility is home to the region’s only Level III Trauma Center.
