We are seeking a Travel-Based Clinical Counsellor, Social Worker, or Registered Psychologist to provide in-person mental health services in remote northern communities. This contract role involves regular travel by ground and/or air
, with flexible scheduling and part-time or full-time opportunities available.
- Provide client-centred, trauma-informed counselling services in remote and northern communities
- Travel to communities by ground and/or air as part of scheduled outreach services
- Deliver services in a culturally responsive and community-informed manner
- Complete assessments, treatment planning, and clinical documentation
- Practice in accordance with professional, ethical, and regulatory standards
- Maintain strong communication with the Aurora Wellness Group team while working remotely
- Contribute to a highly skilled, supportive, and collaborative clinical team
- A Master’s degree in Psychology, Social Work, or a related field
- Registration or eligibility for registration with a relevant regulatory body (e.g., College of Social Work, Canadian Counselling and Psychotherapy Association, College of Psychologists)
- Experience or strong interest in working with remote, rural, or northern communities
- Commitment to respectful, culturally responsive, and trauma-informed care
- Comfort with independent practice, travel, and flexible work environments
- Strong clinical judgment, adaptability, and professional integrity
- Flexible scheduling and contract-based autonomy
- Meaningful work supporting access to mental health care in underserved communities
- In-clinic supervision provided by a certified clinical supervisor
- A highly skilled, collegial, and supportive team with ongoing consultation
- Administrative and organizational support for travel-based work
