Job Description:
The Senior BCBA oversees the assigned region to ensure quality outcomes for parent training objectives, teacher training, and authorizations. The Senior BCBA works under the supervision of the Clinical Director, implementing the IABA parent training curriculum and developing individualized parent training goals in collaboration with the treating BCBA. The focus is collaborative across settings, with emphasis on school-based ABA and home-based support.
The Senior BCBA completes all assessments and authorizations for clients on their caseload. The assessment process includes direct overlaps and coordination with the treating BCBA, which may include intakes as assigned by the Clinical Director. When needed, the Senior BCBA will assist with supervising caseloads for case coverage (e.g., maternity leaves/PTO requests).
- Oversee assigned clients and families to ensure quality outcomes for parents in understanding ABA principles
- Run the IABA parent training curriculum in conjunction with individualized parent training goals
- Collaborate with treating BCBA to ensure individualized goals are idiosyncratic to the treatment plan and socially valid
- Work a hybrid schedule in person (two–three days) and two evenings a week as needed for parent training
- Support parents through tele-health appointments as well as in-school/in-home settings depending on need
- Document parent progress within the curriculum via Central Reach or Precision X
- Educate and engage all parents through weekly or bi-weekly parent training sessions
- Graph and analyze parent data for individualized parent training goals (must be on file for all clients)
- Provide direct overlaps to RBTs in school and home settings for integrity of ABA goals
- Collaborate with teachers, including education and training, to foster buy-in and positive outcomes in the school setting
- Work under the supervision of and in collaboration with the Clinical Director
- Coordinate with the LCPC-BCBA on parent training curriculum
- Assist with Clinical Documentation audits as liaison to parents as needed
- Complete assessments and authorizations as assigned by the Billing Department and supervised by the Clinical Director
- Coordinate with the treating BCBA through the assessment process, including overlaps and treatment plan review
- Assist the Clinical Director in assigning office work for RBTs and creating tasks to support client care
- Oversee quality outcomes for clients as defined by company standards
- Support intake cases with the Clinical Director
- As needed, assist in supervising caseloads for case coverage
- Meet monthly service aim of 25-30 billable hours per week
- Follow the guidelines for intern supervision
- Develop materials for staff training and client programming in collaboration with the IABA Leadership Team
- Completed BACB-approved Supervision Curriculum, Supervision and Experience Training Module
- Experience working across settings, including school and in-home, to meet versatile client needs
- Willingness to collaborate with interdisciplinary teams and advocate for client needs
- Proficient in conducting caregiver and staff training across settings
- 2+ years experience as BCBA
