Band 7 Preceptorship or Band 8A Post
• Clinical/Counselling/Forensic Psychologist

Community Learning Disabilities Team, Learning Disability Division. Based at Jaffray Resource Centre, Erdington, Birmingham, with travel throughout Birmingham and occasional out-of-area visits. There may be opportunities for remote working within the working week balanced with MDT and client needs. We will consider requests for part-time working.

1.0 WTE

We welcome applications from final year Trainee Psychologist, Band 7 or Band 8a Clinical/Counselling/Forensic Psychologists. We also welcome applications from experienced Band 8a Clin/ Counselling/Forensic Psychologists. Posts may be offered at Band 7 (Preceptorship) or Band 8a based on relevant experience.

• Deliver specialist psychological assessments and interventions.
• Provide consultation to multidisciplinary teams.
• Promote compassionate, trauma-informed practice to improve quality of life, reduce admissions and support staff wellbeing.

• Final year Trainee Psychologist, or qualified Band 7 or Band 8a Clinical/Counselling/Forensic Psychologist, depending on post.
• Experience with learning disabilities is desirable; transferable skills and genuine interest in this client group are welcome.
