Overview

The Supervising Behavior Analyst (SBA) is the qualified healthcare professional that provides direct case management for clients. The role includes assessment, treatment programming, protocol modification, documentation, supervision, and administrative oversight of technicians and specialists.

Full‑time position with a target caseload of 8‑10 children and at least 25 client‑facing hours per week (4–6 per day). Center operating hours 8‑5 PM; schedule may vary by region.

As an SBA, you ensure services meet standards of care, meet compliance requirements (documentation, state regulations, clinical standards, policies). You develop BTs, collaborate with caregivers, provide data‑based decisions, and maintain licensure and professional development.

Responsibilities
  • SERVE as the case manager and oversee day‑to‑day delivery of evidence‑based ABA therapy services to young children with ASD or related disabilities.
  • PROVIDE direct assessment (e.g., VB‑MAPP, functional behavior assessment), develop and monitor programming for the caseload.
  • ENSURE required documentation (reports, treatment notes) completed within 10 business days of assessment and submitted for insurance re‑authorization.
  • PROVIDE formal supervision to behavior technicians (up to 10 direct 1:1 client hours per week) on a predetermined schedule.
  • IDENTIFY appropriate caregiver training goals, develop materials, and conduct caregiver training sessions using evidence‑based curriculum.
  • MAINTAIN accurate records for billing and clinical encounters within 24 hours of service.
  • REMAIN compliant with BACB guidelines, licensure, and funding source requirements.
  • DEVELOP clinical and nonbehavioral skills through didactic trainings, CE events, and meetings as assigned.
  • MAINTAIN licensure and certification or progress toward completion.
  • COMMUNICATE proactively with supervisor and team staff.
  • COMPLETE additional duties as assigned (leadership team, administrative support).
Qualifications
  • Master’s degree in special education, behavior analysis, or related field required.
  • Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA); licensure eligible.
