An exciting opportunity has arisen for a full‑time, ACC‑qualified Senior Clinical Coder in our busy Clinical Coding Department. The post holder will be responsible for coding all acute specialties, abstracting clinical data from patient records and translating it into diagnostic (ICD
10) and procedure (OPCS) classifications.
• Work as part of a team to meet tight deadlines, with a flexible approach to work that allows both on‑site and remote working opportunities.
• Ensure procedures and diagnoses are correct and meet national standards, collaborating with clinicians across all specialties.
• Maintain an organised approach to workload in a very busy environment, demonstrating high accuracy, attention to detail and the ability to meet tight deadlines. Remote access allows working from home for a period.
Qualifications & ExperienceA good knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy and physiology is essential, along with a good standard of education. Successful applicants that hold the ACC qualification can expect a 10 % uplift in addition to their Band 5 salary.
