Sanctuary Supported Living is delighted to recruit a Support Assistant CQC Registered for our Learning Disabilities Service at Sycamore Court in Leicester.
Role OverviewThe role of Support Assistant will include:
- Providing a high quality, hands‑on support service
- Supporting customers to build the confidence they need to gain further independence
- Encouraging customers to develop daily living skills such as cooking, cleaning, shopping and community participation
- Working with colleagues and partner agencies to achieve the best outcomes for our customers
- Maintaining a safe environment for clients and supporting in accordance with relevant regulations, procedures and practices
- Experience working with vulnerable adults is desirable; passion and willingness to learn are also encouraged
- Trained team player
- Empathetic, non‑judgmental with a positive approach to challenging behaviour
- Excellent interpersonal, organisational, listening and time‑management skills
- Literacy and numeracy equivalent to at least GCSE Grade C in English and Mathematics
- NVQ Level 2 in Health and Social Care, or willingness to work towards it
