Job overviewAn exciting opportunity has arisen to join the Major Trauma Service at Cambridge University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust.
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Major Trauma Rehabilitation Coordinator (Physiotherapist) to support patients with complex trauma needs throughout their entire care journey—from admission through rehabilitation and onward recovery.
Main duties of the jobThis is a key role within the Cambridge Major Trauma Centre, offering the chance to work in a dynamic, multidisciplinary environment. You will manage a complex caseload and deliver expert physiotherapy interventions, applying advanced clinical judgement and initiative to guide rehabilitation decisions.
The complexity of care within our regional Major Trauma Centre provides a stimulating setting with scope for innovation and service development. We are looking for someone with the knowledge and drive to help shape and enhance trauma rehabilitation pathways.
Key ResponsibilitiesLead and coordinate rehabilitation across the major trauma pathway.
Deliver specialist physiotherapy care tailored to individual trauma needs.
Conduct comprehensive clinical assessments and contribute to effective care planning.
Collaborate with trauma specialties to ensure seamless rehabilitation support.
Proven experience working with neurosurgical patient groups.
Ability to apply specialist knowledge to complex trauma rehabilitation scenarios.
