Job Overview
Sentara Urgent Care is seeking an experienced APP (NP or PA) to join the team in Williamsburg, VA.

The Urgent Care APP (NP or PA) is responsible for providing health care services to individuals, families, and/or groups who receive care under Sentara Medical Group. Services include conducting health assessments, prescribing and providing treatments and interventions, performing occupational medicine regulatory exams, and performing procedures in a walk‑in Urgent Care center. The APP works under the direction and supervision of assigned physician(s) (collaborative agreement) and participates in quality assurance and improvement activities, team member engagement, and utilization management activities.
The APP is expected to maintain prescriptive authority, obtain required clinical competencies, and assist with risk management functions.
Key scheduling requirements: flexibility in schedule to include weekends, evenings, holidays, and 12‑hour shifts; flexibility to move between regional Urgent Care locations as directed by administration; ability to work independently or under direct or indirect supervision.
Qualifications- Education:
Master’s Level Degree (Required) - Certification: NP or PA
- Licensure:
State License (Required), DEA (Required), DOT‑Department of Transportation (Required), BLS (Required), ACLS - Experience:
Minimum of 1‑2 years as a practicing provider in an urgent, immediate, or emergency care setting (Required) - National Registry of Certified Medical Examiners (NRCME) – not required at time of offer, but expected to complete within 30 days of employment
