Position
Starting Salary: £37,500 (PIP) to £40,000 (WCA) per annum + bonus scheme and benefits.
Location:
Hybrid (office and home working) Bournemouth.
Hours:
Monday to Friday 9 – 5.

We are recruiting experienced clinicians in Bournemouth to work as WCA Functional Assessors. You will build on your clinical skills and knowledge, growing your medical knowledge across a wide variety of medical, cognitive and mental health conditions.
Compensation and Benefits- £1000 salary uplift after the first 6 months, and another £1000 after 12 months.
- Work‑life balance: 9am – 5pm contracts with no nights, weekends or shifts.

- Hybrid position – minimum of 2 days per week at a consultation centre.

- Perform file‑work, face‑to‑face and telephone/video assessments with customers concerning PIP/ESA benefits.
- Provide comprehensive reports that enable decision makers at DWP to make informed decisions regarding benefit claims.
- Assess how a disability affects a customer’s day‑to‑day life and ability to perform work‑related activities.
- Apply newly acquired functional assessment skills to support diverse customers.
Receive comprehensive training and 100+ hours CPD protected per annum, with ongoing support for revalidation and career progression.
Requirements- Minimum one year post‑registration experience as a nurse, occupational therapist or physiotherapist.
- Fully registered with a relevant UK regulatory body (NMC, HCPC or other), without restriction, and with a valid PIN.
- Excellent observational and communication skills, with the ability to listen, empathise and dig deeper.
- Typing speed of at least 30 words per minute.
