We are recruiting for registered Nurses (RGN, RMN, RNLD), Physiotherapists and Occupational Therapists (OTs) in Slough who want to use and to build upon their clinical skills and knowledge and benefit from the excellent work life balance and professional development that a career as a PIP Functional Assessor can give you.
We are seeking applications from clinicians with a minimum of 1-year post-qualification experience and registration in the UK. In this role you will grow your medical knowledge of a wide variety of medical, cognitive and mental health conditions.
You will undertake a combination of file-work, face-to-face and telephone/video assessments with customers in relation to PIP OR ESA benefits and provide comprehensive reports to enable decision makers at DWP to make informed decisions regarding benefit claims. Such assessments focus on how a disability affects a customer’s day to day life and performing work related activities.
Qualifications- One year's post-registration experience as a nurse, occupational therapist or physiotherapist
- Fully registered with a relevant UK regulatory body (NMC, HCPC or other), without restriction or conditions and with a valid PIN
- Excellent observational and communication skills, giving you the ability to listen, empathise and dig deeper
- Ability to type at a minimum of 30 words per minute
- £43,000 salary with £1,000 salary uplift after your first 6 months and a further £1,000 salary uplift after 12 months
- Work‑life balance: 9am – 5pm contracts with no nights, weekend or shift work required
- Up to 10% quality and performance bonus once you’re an Approved Functional Assessor
