Position OverviewThe Department of Healthcare and Family Services, Office of Inspector General, Bureau of Medicaid Integrity is seeking to hire an individual to serve as Appeal Supervisor in the Long-Term Care-Asset Discovery Initiative section. The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication, planning, and coordinating skills and supervising staff members that investigates, reviews, and evaluates Long Term Care Medicaid applications for Illinois residents that are on appeal.
The candidate must be able to plan and organize the scheduled appealed cases. Represent the Long-Term Care Asset Discover Initiative section in appeal hearings and ensure that all pre-appeal provisions are completed. Must be able to communicate and advise staff regarding policies and procedures related to Long Term Care. The candidate will demonstrate the ability to discuss policy and procedural objectives while representing the Department during appeal hearings.
The candidate will possess an extensive knowledge regarding federal and state regulations for Medicaid programs and eligibility related to Long Term Care. Excellent leadership, organizational, oral, and written communication skills is a must.
