We have an exciting opportunity for newly or recently qualified Band 7 Clinical/Counselling/Forensic Psychologists seeking a role with clear career development through a Preceptorship programme to join our team. We also welcome applications from experienced Band 8a Clinical/Counselling/Forensic Psychologists. Based on relevant experience, posts may be offered at either Band 7 (Preceptorship) or Band 8a.

We are looking for creative, innovative and enthusiastic psychologists to deliver high-quality clinical services within our Community Learning Disability Team in the Learning Disability Division. Whilst experience of working with people with learning disabilities is desirable, we are equally keen to hear from applicants who can demonstrate relevant transferable skills and a genuine interest in this client group.

The post holder will deliver specialist psychological assessments and interventions, provide consultation to multidisciplinary teams, and promote compassionate, trauma-informed practice to improve quality of life, reduce admissions and support staff wellbeing.

We are currently working as a city-wide team and you will be expected to travel throughout Birmingham, with occasional out of area visits. However, you will be based at Jaffray Resource Centre, Erdington , with the aim of predominantly working with clients in the local area. There may be opportunities for remote working within your working week, in balance with the needs of the MDT and our clients.
