Job Summary
- Scan and upload clinical documents to the patient Medical Record within 48 hours of receipt.
- Safeguard patient records and meet compliance and HIPAA standards.
- Manage documents to ensure records and Medical Record numbers are maintained in their original conditions.
- Answer and transfer incoming calls.
- Greet and assist with disclosing patient medical records to requestors.
- Assist with data entry, filing, and retrieval of patient paper medical records.
- High School Diploma or GED-High School Equivalency.
- Reg Health Information Technician or RHIA certification preferred.
- Four years of experience in Medical Records or related healthcare area.
- Bilingual skills preferred.
- Above Average Verbal (Heavy Public Contact), Writing/Correspondence, Writing/Reports.
- Proficiencies: MS Word, PC, Dictation/Transcription.
