We are currently seeking motivated individuals to join our team as a Laboratory Assistant. This role offers the opportunity to work within a busy and friendly department, supporting the delivery of high-quality diagnostic services to surrounding healthcare providers.
The Pathology Department at King's Mill Hospital plays a crucial role in providing analytical, diagnostic, interpretative, and consultative services to hospitals, clinics, and GP practices.
As a Laboratory Assistant, you will be responsible for undertaking basic laboratory tasks essential for the smooth operation of our department. From checking and sorting specimens to inputting patient and test data, your contributions will be integral to ensuring efficient service delivery.

Person Specification Knowledge- Proficient in the use of Pathology data systems.
- Good communication skills, both verbal and written
- High levels of accuracy
- ECDL
- Good organisational skills
- Level 3 Diploma in Pathology Support.
- Full driving licence
- Advanced driving certificate
- Laboratory based training
- Competency based assessment
- Good customer relations
- Participates in rosters as requested. Shifts may be during any point of 24/7/365
