• Establish and maintain a hospital-based cancer registry that meets or exceeds the standards set by the American College of Surgeons Commission on Cancer
• Ensure accuracy and completeness of cancer registry data
• Collaborate with medical staff to gather necessary information for registry entries
• Monitor compliance with regulatory requirements and standards
• Prepare reports and analyses related to cancer registry data

• Associate's Degree or a minimum of 2 years of relevant experience
• One or more years of cancer registry experience
• Proficiency in computer applications, including word processing, databases, and spreadsheets
• Knowledge of the International Classification of Diseases for Oncology (ICD-O) coding system
• Certification as an Oncology Data Specialist (ODS-C) or eligibility for certification

• Experience with medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, and disease processes
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
