Job Summary:
Synergy, the adolescent component of Addiction Research and Treatment Services, seeks to fill a Bilingual Adolescent Behavioral Health Therapist position in a community-based substance use treatment program. The therapist will deliver Multisystemic Therapy (MST), an evidenced-based family therapy model. MST emphasizes strength-based, preventive strategies within the youth’s natural ecology targeting family, peers, school, and neighborhood support systems. The therapist will receive comprehensive MST training and will implement MST to help retain youth in their homes and avoid out-of-home placement and criminal justice involvement.
The model requires fidelity, guided by the supervisor and MST consultant. The therapist works independently with supervisory support and flexible scheduling, including weekly group supervision and individual supervision every 1–2 weeks.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide intensive MST-based treatment to a caseload of up to 6 active MST clients, including daily individual and family counseling, case management, staffing, and advocacy in home and community settings.
- Deliver home-based family therapy twice weekly using the MST model. May participate in school meetings, staffing, and court; driving required.
- Be available to clients and families Monday through Friday, 24 hours a day via cell phone and participate in weekend on-call coverage.
- Provide transition services to clients leaving other formal residential/day treatment programs.
- Balance caseload, clinical contact, outcomes, and case management paperwork.
- Provide clinical evaluations and/or intake screenings to assess needs and recommendations.
- Administer weekly urinalysis screens for (same sex) clients to track progress.
Work Location:
Hybrid: community/field-based with some remote work and office time at Fort Logan (3680 West Princeton Circle, Denver, CO 80236).

Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications:
Entry Level: Master’s degree in psychology, social work, counseling, human services, or related field.
Registration with the Colorado Department of Regulatory Agencies to practice.
Eligibility to be credentialed as LAC, LPC, LCSW, or LMFT within two (2) years of hire.
Intermediate Level:
Master’s degree in related field.
Registration with DORA to practice in Colorado.
Eligibility to be credentialed as LAC, LPC, LCSW, or LMFT within one (1) year of hire.
