• Establish and maintain a hospital-based cancer registry that meets or exceeds the standards for cancer registries of the American College of Surgeons Commission on Cancer
• Ensure accurate data collection and reporting for cancer cases
• Collaborate with healthcare professionals to improve cancer care and outcomes
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of cancer registry standards and practices
• Conduct audits and quality assurance activities for registry data

• Associate's degree or a minimum of 2 years of experience required
• One or more years of cancer registry experience required
• Computer proficiency in word processing, databases, and spreadsheets
• Knowledge of the International Classification of Diseases for Oncology (ICD-0) coding system
• Certification as an Oncology Data Specialist (ODS-C) or eligibility for certification

• Experience with cancer registry software and data management systems
• Additional certifications related to cancer registry or oncology
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
