• Prepare collection letters and ensure they are dispatched to providers following established guidelines
• Follow up on outstanding claims, contacting providers to verify receipt and status of claims
• Investigate claim disputes, identifying issues and escalating them to appropriate parties
• Document activities and details utilizing proprietary tools and systems
• Meet or exceed productivity and quality standards set by the department

• High School graduate or equivalent education
• 1 to 3 years of prior collections or customer service experience
• Strong oral and written communication skills
• Required knowledge of Microsoft applications
• Ability to assess the accuracy and thoroughness of assigned work

• Billing or coding experience
