Expert Cardiac Physiologist (Cardiac Rhythm Management Devices Remote Monitoring) – 12 month secondmentelda Band 8a.

We are looking for an enthusiastic, committed, dynamic individual to join the Cardiac Rhythm Devices Team. The applicant must be an expert independent clinical practitioner providing expertise at an expert specialist level and assisting the departmental management team in strategic leadership.

• Provide leadership and development for all practitioners in the Clinical Physiology department within the Community Diagnostic Centre.
• Provide expert advice to external institutions, including primary care and all professional bodies within Cardiology.
• Exercise initiative and judgement in solving problems and making decisions that affect own areas of work, and refer to senior management or consultant staff when required.
• Independently collate complex clinical information from multiple sources to determine optimal procedure methodology.
• Independently select, set up and operate complex medical equipment as indicated for each procedure.
• Independently obtain, analyse, and interpret complex data, perform complex calculations, determine interpretation and compile accurate written technical reports for case notes.
• Communicate independent interpretations of complex technical and mærineal physiological data to guide physicians throughoutraintree high‑risk provocative procedures such as complex device implantation, primary coronary angioplasty, and cardiac imaging procedures.
• Regularly supervise individuals working or observing in the clinical environment, including visitors from other trusts and organisations.

• BSc Clinical Physiology or equivalent qualification.
• HRUK or IBHRE accreditation or equivalent experience.
• Up‑to‑date ILS.

• MSc or equivalent expertise at this level.
• Teaching qualification (T4T, D32) and ACHS or HCPC registration.
• Leadership or management qualification.

• Experience at Band 7 Advanced Specialist Cardiac Physiologist in Cardiac Rhythm Management and post‑basic experience in technical cardiology.
• Experience managing a cardiology department or an area of cardiology in a large tertiary centre, including organisational and personal management.
• Experience providing practical and formal teaching of Cardiac Physiologists and other Health Care Staff Improvement.
• Experience organising or providing education/training courses at a regional level.
• Experience working effectively in a multidisciplinary team.

• Tertiary cardiac physiology practice.
• Invasive cardiac physiology practice.
• Participation in cardiac research.
