Main duties of the job
  • Work alongside and develop relationships with colleagues and partners to ensure a high quality and consistent approach to strategy discussions, in adherence to the statutory Guidance Working Together to Safeguard Children.
  • Establish positive and supportive working relationships with partner agencies, ensuring the children's services perspective is represented at strategy discussions.
  • Review the electronic health records of all children & parents (where relevant) for whom strategy discussions will be held ensuring that relevant and proportionate health information is collated for sharing within the strategy discussion. This could involve providing & listening to complex and sensitive information.
  • Work in an agile & mobile manner to support the completion of strategy discussions, whether that be attending virtually or by telephone to contribute to the discussion.
  • Share relevant and proportionate health information about a child into the strategyзе discussion or for the social worker assessment.
  • Maintain contemporaneous record keeping in each person's electronic health record providing a brief synopsis with outcomes & health actions from the strategy discussion.
  • Escalate any concerns regarding risk or exceptional circumstances where multiple, unrelated children are subject to strategy discussions.
